My Class Has Heart

My class had some helpful hands this past year in Art class. Our art Teacher, Ms. Rachel did these up for every classroom teacher in our school. She is so GREATTT! The kids just love her and we do too.
This picture is made up of a handprint from each student in my room. I had the students sign the back and I put the year on the bottom and hung it up in my room. I will treasure it for years to come.

Vowel Posters

I wanted to share my vowel posters that I have had for over 10 years. I use these posters every year to help me to try to remember different words that start with the vowels and their sounds. If your like me, I have to have it in sight for me to remember certain words or sounds that I want to tell the class, so the easiest way was with these posters.

Each are made out of different colored poster board. Each letter has many words that start with that sound, both long and short.  I had these hanging from my ceiling for about 5 years. Then another fire marshall came in and I had to take them down. So I put them on my wall and they have been their ever since.

I just love them and they have been a very useful tool for me and my students..

Simple Sunday Linky

Well Sunday is slipping away and we just got through with supper. Yes I cooked. Just thought I would link up with  Fabulous in First and talk about the random things that are happening. Click on over and found out what everyone is doing.
Well I have been busy cleaning out my classroom and kind of having that "out with the old in with the new feeling." I tried to spruce up some things I already had. Here is one of my projects that I just finished.
I went crazy with the Cricut. The school has one and I am in Cricut heaven. You can buy the black paper at HobbyLobby. The school orders the colored paper. I love the colored polk dots. I couldn't pick out just one color.

Ocean Themed Classroom

This past year I had my classroom all done up in the ocean theme and loved it. I wanted to share some of the pictures of my room before I took everything down for the summer. I change my classroom about every two years and this has been one of my favorites.

These are my mailboxes where the students put finished work.

This one was my math board that had touch point math cards on it. I had already taken the cards down before I took the picture.

This was on my back wall right beside my reading table.
All the jewels, gems and divers are from Carson Dellosa.

I have no clue what I'm going to do this coming year. Ladybug???? Owls????  To much to decide from. I need to go to Hobby Lobby and get inspired. When I decide I'll let you know and post some pictures.
