We are getting ready for fall in the classroom. This is my favorite part of the year. I love to put a few fall decorations in the room to start the season off right. We also start working on fall activities throughout the season. I love getting out all my favorite fall reading books in the classroom. The kids just love this book and I have to admit, it is one of my favorites. One stormy night, a lost and lonely owl walks into a farmyard looking for a place to sleep.

After a restful night in the hen house, Owl wakes to discover that the hens want him to leave. They're looking for a rooster, not an owl! I also use this book with my question words unit. Here is s freebie for you to use with your question words lesson.
