Christmas Tree Craft Freebie

Only 8 more days to shop for this holiday season. Hope everyone is ready and already has everything under their tree. I am not one of those people. I really don't know why I can't be. It's not like I don't know the holiday is coming and just around the corner. It's the same day every year. I'm one of those mad dash shoppers staying up to wee hours in the morning wrapping and getting everything ready!! I have a few more things to buy and I'll be done, hopefully!!
Having a great week this week at school. I think it is because I see
 Christmas break drawing near!!
The kids are having a blast counting down the days with our
Santa Countdown sheet I fixed up.They love to put their cottonball on as soon as they get in the room!
We also have been  busy this week with other Christmas crafts. I read the story
A Wish to be a Christmas Tree by Colleen Monroe is such a wonderful story. This is one of my favorites. You've got to make this one a part of your collection. If you don't have the book, there is also a read along on youtube that you can watch. I did both with my class. They really took to heart about how the animals came together to help and decorate the old pine tree.

Here is a sheet that I fixed up for the students. I gave them a tree to take home and decorate. I've done this before in the past, but this time to go along with the story, they could only decorate with things from the forest or outside just like the animals did in the story. Leaves, berries, grass, etc... I can't wait to see what they come up with. I will be sure to post the pics when they come in.
